"Country Strong" (2010)
Movie Synopsis: Soon after a rising young singer-songwriter (Hedlund) gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star (Paltrow), the pair embarks on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Meester). Between concerts, romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.

Gwyneth Paltrow Turns Country Singer
(Dec 2009) Gwyneth Paltrow is about to show off her singing skills once again with a starring role in "Love Don't Let Me Down" (renamed as "Country Strong") a drama/romance involving country music. While singing isn't exactly her forte, Paltrow's proven she can pass for a singer on film. Paltrow's sung in films before ("Duets" and "Capote") and she's married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, not that Martin's singing skills have rubbed off. Also joining the cast of the Screen Gems film are Garrett Hedlund, Leighton Meester, and an actual country music superstar - Tim McGraw.
