Set to begin filming in early 2006, The Hollywood Reporter describes "Blood Diamond" as the story of an African Farmer who finds himself in the middle of a battle between DiCaprio's character and the syndicate that is in charge of the diamond mining industry.
Paula Weinstein, Herskovitz, Graham King, Len Amato, and Gillian Gorfil are producing "Blood Diamond." The pic is set up at Warner Bros Pictures.
Jennifer Connelly was last seen in the thriller "Dark Water" and has just completed work on "Little Children" for director Todd Field.
Leonardo DiCaprio's been keeping busy with Martin Scorsese. The two are currently working on "The Departed" which also stars Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon.
