Dec 4, 2006 - John Krasinski - 'Jim' from the TV series The Office - has signed on to Leatherheads, a romantic comedy to be directed by George Clooney and starring Clooney and Renee Zellweger. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leatherheads will be set in the 1920s and follows a football team owner (Clooney) who falls in love with the fiancee (Zellweger) of his star player (Krasinski).
During breaks in shooting the critically acclaimed series The Office, Krasinski landed roles in half a dozen films including cameo bits in Dreamgirls, For Your Consideration, and The Holiday. He's also been busy providing the voice of Sir Lancelot in Shrek the Third and recently completed work on License to Wed and Smiley Face.
