The Bottom Line

Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale, and Christopher Walken headline a more adult comedy than Sandler's normally associated with in Click, directed by Frank Coraci. Fans of Sandler's usual goofball comedies may not appreciate this heartwarming relationship tale as much as they do his other films, but it's actually one of the actor/comedian's better performances. And don't be shocked if you reach for a tissue a time or two...

Guide Review - Click DVD Review

What would you do if you suddenly came into possession of a universal remote control that actually had the ability to control your world? This special remote would allow you to speed through boring sections of your life, rewind time in order to relive some of your favorite memories, and even mute annoying people you don't want to listen to. Would you use it? That's the tricky question family man/workaholic Michael Newman (Sandler) must answer in Click.

When Michael pays a visit to his local Bed, Bath & Beyond store to pick up a new remote control, he finds out what the 'Beyond' part of the store's name is all about. Store employee Morty (Walken) gives Michael the remote control of his dreams - one that will not only turn off and on his television, but will help him handle the day-to-day stress of married life.

At first, Michael's overjoyed with his new toy. Able to skip through arguments with his wife and dinners with the family, the special remote allows Michael to concentrate full-time on his job. But when the remote begins skipping over huge parts of his life, Michael realizes he's missing out on all the important things including watching his kids grow up and spending quality time with his wife.
