INTERVIEW WITH ALEX BORSTEIN:
What can you tell me about your character?
Sally is Halles best friend. Hey, that rhymes. Sally and Halle. Im her best friend although I dont know that shes Catwoman, so its one of those best friends.
The kind of best friend you dont tell secrets to?
I guess that theres some women that by night theyre whores or hookers, and maybe its the same kind of thing.
The same kind of thing happens when you turn into a cat?
I guess (laughing).
This was director Pitof's first American feature film. What was he like on the set?
He was great. Hes really got such a specific vision of what he wants visually. Theres so much that I had no idea what it was going to look like when they were done, so you just had to trust them and say, Okay, you want me to fall now? Ill fall now, kind of thing. Hes wonderful very sweet, very warm.
So fall now must mean you do some stunts in this movie?
Well, you know, I fall once. To me it was a stunt. Its hard to get this much weight back up off a sidewalk (laughing).
Did you do any training?
Ah, no. I trained by eating cupcakes in Vancouver at shop called Cupcakes, which was my favorite, and taking long walks around the beautiful city.
Whats it like working with Halle Berry?
Its wonderful. Shes so sweet, so wonderful, really giving. She cooked me dinner one night and gave me a little gift basket. Shes a really sweet lady.
This is an action adventure film and of course Halle Berrys really sexy in her leather costume so that'll attract men. Why do you think women will enjoy this movie?
You know what? Halle Berry holds this magical key - everyone loves her. Men, women, young, old, married, single everybody loves Halle Berry and I think thats crucial to why this thing is going to draw so many people. And Catwoman, too, kind of shows a vulnerable side and a tough side and a beautiful side. Who wouldnt want to look at that?
INTERVIEW WITH KIM SMITH:
Whats your role in Catwoman?
I play Drina, the new face of the Hedare Cosmetic Company that Sharon Stone and Lambert Wilson own. They wanted a new girl for it so Im the new face for it.
Whats it like being in this film?
Its awesome. Its such an honor to be a part of something so huge. It was really intimidating but all the actors made me feel so comfortable. Sharon Stone came up to me and was like, Welcome, and that meant a lot to me. Shes the nicest woman and to just be a part of something so huge with so many talented people was quite an honor.
You dont have to do any stunts, do you?
No, no, no, I dont (laughing). But just being a part of it was fun.
Whats up next?
Im still reading some scripts and I model as well, so Im still doing that. But I dont want to do like just anything so were being really selective about the stuff Ill do.
Guys will love this movie because theres sexy, beautiful women in it but why will women like this movie?
Because shes so powerful. I love it that theres so many Spider-Man, Batman, like men being the [heroes], its great to have [Halle Berry] be the one to come out there and be the heroic one. Shes great.
