June 6, 2006 - The busy Nicolas Cage has added Bangkok Dangerous to his slate of upcoming films. Cage has signed on to star in a remake of the 1999 crime thriller written and directed by Oxide and Danny Pang, with the Pang Brothers also directing the remake.
The story follows a hit man who is sent to Bangkok to kill four people. While there he falls in love with a local woman.
William Sherak, Jason Shuman, Norm Golightly and Graham King will produce Bangkok Dangerous. Jason Richman adapted the screenplay.
According to Variety, filming will begin in August, 2006.
