The story of matador Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez will hit the big screen in "Manolete," with Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody waving the red flag. Penelope Cruz co-stars in the dramatic movie as the gorgeous actress Lupe Sino who captured the heart of the legendary matador.Menno Meyjes ("Max") wrote the script and will direct "Manolete." The story focuses on Sanchez' love for Sino, a love that lasted until he passed away in 1947.
"Manolete" will be produced by Andres Vincente Gomez and Tarak Ben Ammar. Filming is expected to begin in March 21, 2006 after Brody spends a couple of months training with a professional to take on the role of a bullfighter.
