Russell Brand and Helen Mirren discuss "Arthur," working together, the appeal of the project, comedy, and why the story about a rich guy can still connect with audiences.

Russell Brand, a comedian not known for PG-rated comedy, provides the voice of the Easter Bunny in Universal Pictures' "Hop." At the premiere, Brand joined his co-stars to chat up the film and talk about the obligation to get the Easter Bunny right. Also hitting the carpet was composer Christopher Lennertz who just completed a fundraising CD for Haiti earthquake victims.

On the set of "Get Him to the Greek" Russell Brand talks about playing Aldous Snow again, playing a character with a drug problem, being a rock star on film, and working with Sean Combs and Jonah Hill.

At the LA press day for the Universal Pictures film, Russell Brand said he wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line there's another Aldous Snow film. "This character keeps resurfacing like a corpse abandoned in the Thames," joked Brand. "We will never be free of it, never, unless we tie concrete to his ankles and abandon him in some deeper body of water.

Russell Brand had to rush down the red carpet at "The Tempest" LA premiere, but that didn't stop him from giving a rapid-fire, detailed response to my question as to what makes the story still connect with contemporary audiences.

(Apr 2011) "Arthur" failed to impress audiences but that's not stopping director Adam Shankman from signing up Russell Brand for his upcoming film project. Shankman tweeted the news that Brand's now official part of the cast of "Rock of Ages."

(March 2010) "Modern Family" director/co-executive producer Jason Winer has been tapped to direct the remake of "Arthur" with Russell Brand taking over the role Dudley Moore played in the 1981 comedy.

(July 2009) Tim Hill is sticking with funny animals by signing on to direct "I Hop," a live-action/CGI comedy from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures. Hill previously directed the family hit "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and with "I Hop," Hill will be helming a film about the Easter Bunny.
