The wait's finally over as Columbia Pictures and MGM have named the next Bond Girl. The actress who landed the coveted role in Bond 22 is Gemma Arterton, a British actress with just a couple of film credits.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Arterton is 21 years old and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Filming is currently underway on Bond 22, the sequel to Casino Royale. The plot is being kept under wraps for now with MGM/Columbia Pictures set to release Bond 22 (the working title) on November 7, 2008.
Arterton recently completed work on Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla and 3 and Out with Colm Meaney and Imelda Staunton.
