March 20, 2007 - Joining Harrison Ford on the set for the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones adventures is the Oscar-winning actress, Cate Blanchett. It appears she will be playing a leading role but it has not been confirmed which character it will be.
This will be Cate’s first opportunity to work under the direction of Steven Spielberg and also to star alongside Harrison Ford. With shooting to begin in June, 2007, Paramount pictures intends to release Indy 4 on May 22, 2008.
Indiana Jones 4 will be produced by Frank Marshall. George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy are executive producing. David Koepp (War of the Worlds) wrote the screenplay.
