"Baby Mama" (2008)
Successful and single businesswoman Kate Holbrook has long put her career ahead of a personal life. Now 37, she’s finally determined to have a kid on her own. But her plan is thrown a curve ball after she discovers she has only a million-to-one chance of getting pregnant. Undaunted, the driven Kate allows South Philly working girl Angie Ostrowiski to become her unlikely surrogate. Simple enough… After learning from the steely head of their surrogacy center that Angie is pregnant, Kate goes into precision nesting mode: reading childcare books, baby-proofing the apartment and researching top pre-schools. But the executive’s well-organized strategy is turned upside down when her Baby Mama shows up at her doorstep with no place to live.
Exclusive Interview with "Baby Mama" Star Amy Poehler
Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have known each other since 1993, and Poehler says being able to do this movie together was pretty much a dream come true. “We just kept kind of looking at each other like, ‘Wow, I can't believe they're letting us do that,” said Poehler, laughing. “We got away with it. We fooled them. We fooled them all!”

One on One with "Baby Mama" Writer/Director Michael McCullers
Screenwriter Michael McCullers ("Austin Powers") makes his feature film directorial debut with the comedy movie "Baby Mama" from Universal Pictures. With the help of two of the funniest women in show business today, former "SNL" cohorts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, McCullers came up with a screenplay that’s reminiscent of the old female buddy comedy movies from decades past.

"Baby Mama" Movie Review
Comedy movies with strong female characters in the lead have been on the endangered species for years, and there’s a lot resting on the box office take of "Baby Mama." If female-driven comedies are to make a comeback, "Baby Mama" has to show audiences of all ages and both sexes will turn out in decent numbers to watch two actresses in starring roles.
