The Producers Guild of America added its endorsement of "Brokeback Mountain" to the film's growing list of honors, naming the indie romantic drama the best film of 2005.

"Brokeback Mountain" producers Diana Ossana and James Schamus took home the PGA's top film prize as the story of two cowboys who must hide their love solidified its bid to take home the Best Picture Oscar at this year's Academy Awards.

"Brokeback Mountain" beat out "Capote," "Crash," "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "Walk the Line" to earn the PGA's top feature film award.

The PGA award is considered to be one of the most accurate indicators of which film will win the Oscar for Best Picture. With its recent win at the Golden Globes, "Brokeback Mountain" looks to be the odds-on favorite.

Other awards handed out included the Producers Guild of America award for best animated motion picture which went to "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" producers Claire Jennings and Nick Park. "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" received the PGA award for Television: Long-Form. "Lost" was selected as best dramatic series while "Entourage" won for best comedy.
