Martin Scorsese and "The Departed" are Big Oscar Winners

Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were the presenters when Martin Scorsese achieved the one thing that's been eluding him his entire career - an Oscar for Best Director. Scorsese's Boston mob drama The Departed came away the night's big winner, taking home Academy Awards for Best Picture, Editing and Adapted Screenplay as well as the Best Director honor.
