Casey Affleck May Join Brother Ben for "Gone, Baby, Gone"

Feb 21, 2006 - Ben Affleck's stepping behind the camera to make his directorial debut with the drama, "Gone, Baby, Gone," based on the Dennis Lehane novel. "Gone, Baby, Gone" may turn into a real family affair as Ben's brother Casey is in talks to star in the film. The red-hot Michelle Monaghan also is considering a starring role in the film.

Ben Affleck adapted Lehane's novel for the screen and doesn't plan on taking a role in the film himself. "Gone, Baby, Gone" involves two private eyes (Casey Affleck and Monaghan) who are involved in the investigation of a missing child.

Miramax's "Gone, Baby, Gone" will begin filming this summer in Boston.

Ben Affleck recently finished work on "Hollywoodland" (formerly titled "Truth, Justice and the American Way), the story of "Superman" star George Reeves. Affleck also recently wrapped work on "Smokin' Aces" and "Man About Town."
