Josh Duhamel was majoring in biology at Minot State University with an eye on becoming a dentist when he changed his mind, moved to Los Angeles, and began modeling. After studying acting, Duhamel got his first paying job playing Dorian Gray in The Picture of Dorian Gray. That role was followed by a stint on All My Children as 'Leo'.

On January 10, 2009 Duhamel and singer Stacy Ferguson (aka Fergie) tied the knot.
