Visitors to the site will create a personal profile on their best buds from a wide range of options (is she a diva or a homegirl? is he a player or a prince?), including their look, hobbies and secret crushes – and the best way they can be reached. In minutes, messages are sent to either a mobile phone, land-line phone or E-mail account, delivering a fun and hilarious message from the star of "A Cinderella Story" that addresses the lucky recipient by name and relates a modern fairy tale custom-made to his or her own life.
The service is free and will be available through August 16th, 30 days after the film’s national release on July 16th.
E-mail messages play an important part in "A Cinderella Story," a twisted update of the classic fairy tale starring Hilary Duff as Sam Montgomery. A high school senior with her sights set on Princeton, Sam lives at the beck and call of her self-obsessed step-mother and sinfully wicked step-sisters. The only bright spot in her life is trading messages online with an anonymous cyber soul mate who just happens to be her high school’s über-popular quarterback. Will Sam let fear hold her back or will she find the courage to be herself and claim the life she’s always wanted? Her chance at happily ever after depends on it.
