Guide Review - '27 Dresses' DVD Review
Jane (Heigl) is the go-to girl when it comes to planning weddings. All of her friends turn to the organized, creative and dependable Jane who can never say no to being a bridesmaid. Although Jane would never openly admit to wanting more, when her gorgeous younger sister Tess (Akerman) shows up and captures the heart of her boss (Burns) - who she secretly has a crush on - the idea of organizing yet another wedding is almost too much.
The Bonus Features
The DVD's only real shortcoming is the lack of a commentary track, as the rest of the extra material is topnotch. 'Wedding Party' is a lengthy behind-the-scenes look at the making of 27 Dresses featuring interviews with the cast. 'You'll Never Wear That Again' shows just how much thought and consideration went into picking out the right dresses for the film. 'Jane's World' gives viewers an up close and personal look at the set design. And 'The Running of the Brides' features the famous Filene's annual wedding dress sale in which thousands of designer gowns are scooped up at discount prices, some up to 92% off. The DVD also includes trailers and three deleted scenes that wouldn't have added a thing to the final film.
