2012 Academy Awards Nominees and Winners

By

The 84th annual Academy Awards were held on February 26, 2012 with Billy Crystal returning as host for the ninth time. And once the votes were all counted, the 2012 Oscars turned out to be a fantastic evening for the nearly silent black & white love letter to cinema, The Artist. Martin Scorsese's first 3D film, Hugo, also did well, tying The Artist with five wins.
