New Moon
Rachelle Lefevre Interview

Rachelle Lefevre says she's ready to return as 'Victoria' - the evil vampire out to kill Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) - in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. At the premiere of Summit Entertainment's Push, Lefevre admitted she hadn't yet seen the script, but she's willing to bet it'll be faithful to Stephenie Meyer's book.

Exclusive Interview with Rachelle Lefevre

Are you ready to be evil again?

Rachelle Lefevre: "You know what? I hope so. As far as the book says I am."

You don't turn good all of a sudden.

Rachelle Lefevre: "Wait – About.com. I just pulled some stuff off of your website."

What did you pull?

Rachelle Lefevre: "I travel a lot, right? And I've got these like exercise bands and I needed all these workouts to with my exercise bands in my hotel room. I downloaded them all off of About.com, just a few days ago. I saw the logo, I was like, 'No way!'"

So have you seen the script for New Moon yet?

Rachelle Lefevre: "I haven't. I haven't. I hope it's not going to be long."

Did you read the book?

Rachelle Lefevre: "I did, of course. Yeah, all four."

So you know what to expect.

Rachelle Lefevre: "I do. I know the journey and I know that they stayed really true to the book for the first one so I expect that they're going to for the second and third. I'm just looking forward to it, kind of like a fan. Like the fans are going, 'Where's the script?' and I'm like, 'Where's my script?!'"

And they're going to start in March?

Rachelle Lefevre: "I think I heard something about a mid-March start date – something like that."

Have you met with Chris [Weitz] yet?

Rachelle Lefevre: "I haven't. I'm really looking forward to it though. I'm huge fan of About a Boy which I think is such a beautiful, beautiful movie."

Which is so close to New Moon - New Moon, About a Boy they compare so much.

Rachelle Lefevre: "You know what? Actually I was thinking that About a Boy is really a love story at its heart. I mean it's a love story in twofold. It's about the platonic relationship between him and the boy, but then him and Rachel WeiszHugh Grant and Rachel Weisz. And so I think he has what it takes to handle the love story."

Yeah, with werewolves and vampires…

Rachelle Lefevre: "Why not? Why not? I don't think human beings, by the way, are any less complicated."
