Revolution Studios announced that Evan Rachel Wood has been added to the cast of the suspense thriller "The Missing," directed by Ron Howard and starring Tommy Lee Jones and Cate Blanchett. Brian Grazer and Daniel Ostroff are producing the Ken Kaufman-scripted project for Revolution Studios.

"The Missing" is Ron Howard's first directorial project since winning two Academy Award's for Best Picture and Best Director for "A Beautiful Mind" in 2002. The film begins production in New Mexico in March with a March 2004 release targeted by Columbia Pictures.

When her daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) is kidnapped by a band of outcasts, Maggie (Cate Blanchett), a self-reliant woman, must unite with her estranged dying father (Tommy Lee Jones) on a desperate journey to rescue her.

Wood will portray Lilly Gilkeson, the 15 year-old daughter of Maggie (Cate Blanchett), who is kidnapped by a band of outcasts. Wood will next be seen in teen drama "Thirteen," which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Her other credits include the films "Simone" and "Practical Magic" and roles on the television series "Once and Again" and "Profiler."

Revolution Studios was formed by Joe Roth in May 2000 to independently produce and finance films in partnership with Sony Pictures, Starz Encore Group and Fox Entertainment Group. In 2003, Revolution Studios will release 10 films, starring such notable talent as Bruce Willis, Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Harrison Ford, Josh Hartnett, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ed Harris, Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, and Julia Stiles.
