"Bridget Jones's Diary" DVD Review/Recommendation
Renee Zellweger successfully tackles a British accent and weight gain, and transforms herself into Bridget Jones. This is one of Renee's best roles to date - the mix of romance and comedy showcases her talent and allows her to stretch her acting wings, making Bridget into an endearingly real person.

First-time director Sharon Maguire cast Renee despite worries from some naysayers that Texas-born Renee couldn't pull off the very British Bridget. Her worries proved unfounded as Renee turned in a grade A performance, as did the supporting cast of highly talented actors including Colin Firth and Hugh Grant.

"Bridget Jones's Diary" is the perfect choice for a date night spent at home. Definitely not just a "chick flick," Bridget's sure to provide laughs to men and women alike.
