The first “American Pie” became an unexpected blockbuster hit, establishing a lot of its young actors and tagging Jason Biggs with the unenviable label of “Pie Guy.” Containing gross-out comedy, a talented cast of attractive actors, and a decent script, “American Pie” kicked teen romantic comedies up a notch. Banking on the original's success, the entire cast and most of the creative team behind the film, returned for the sequel. The script has grown up a little with the characters but the gross-out scenes are just as funny (and juvenile) as in the first film. The film's unrated DVD contains a horde of extras, enough to satiate the appetite of any “Pie” fan.
