STAN LEE

Are there any of your characters that haven't been made into movies yet?
Oh sure, but they're all in the works. They are working on “The Fantastic Four,” “The Silver Surfer,” “Iron Man,” “Dr. Strange,” [and] “The Hulk.” They're doing a sequel to “Spider-Man,” a sequel to “X-Men,” and probably a third sequel to “Blade.” They still haven't gotten around to “Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” They have to do the “Ghost Rider.”

How does it feel to see all of these characters come to the big screen?
It feels nice (laughing). Of course it's a wonderfully exciting thing. Years ago, when I first wrote these characters, I didn't dream that anything like this would happen. I just hoped that the books would sell and I'd be able to keep my job.

Were you satisfied with the casting of Ben Affleck?
I've got to tell you this: I can't think of a better choice. He looks exactly like him, he's got a winning personality, and he's a good actor. I mean, he's perfect. He's letter perfect.

How do you feel about the fact that they changed the look of some of the costumes in “Daredevil?” Does that bother you?
Not at all. I never designed the costumes; I always left that to the artists. I always told people that [the costumes] didn't matter all that much if the characters were interesting [and] if they did exciting things. It didn't matter if it was red or blue or cut down to here or was up to there. That was incidental. I think that the costume they gave [Elektra] looks great - at least in the trailer it looks great. I haven't seen the movie yet.

Do you believe there will ever be one big movie that combines the different Marvel Comics characters?
I'll tell you, after they've each had their own, and they've each had their sequels, and everybody is sitting stretching their legs saying, “What do we do next?” that's when the crossover will happen. The problem is there are different studios [involved], but they'll find a way.

KEVIN SMITH (cameo appearance as 'Jack Kirby')

Did you ever want to direct this movie?
No, I couldn't direct this.

But you were the first guy to put Daredevil onscreen, right? He appeared in “Jay and Silent Bob.”
I did, that's true, before Mark [Steven Johnson, "Daredevil's" director]. Our costume was not nearly as cool as Ben's, but still...

Are you planning on working on more "Daredevil" comic books?
I'm in the midst of one now, which I'm kind of late on. I don't know. I don't know that I have much left to say about “Daredevil.” It was fun when I did do it a few years ago but shucks, now that the movie's been made, now it's too popular.

Ben said you wanted to borrow the red suit.
Totally. Who wouldn't? I wanted to see how far my gut would hang out of it.

How's the work on “Jersey Girl” progressing?
So far, so great.

Anything we can know about yet?
That it comes out in November (laughing).

Any plot points you can share?
Not yet.

Have you received an invitation to Ben and J-Lo's wedding yet?
No, no, no. I haven't gotten one yet (laughing). Have you?

SCOTT TERRA (Young 'Matt Murdock')

Are you ready for all the hype that surrounds "Daredevil?"
I'm excited and a little nervous. I'm enjoying this so far. I think [the movie] was cool and I'm happy to be a part of this.

What was it like playing a young Ben Affleck? Was that at all daunting when you first looked over the script?
It's [a] fun [character] to look up to, for me. It was fun to live up to the respect for young 'Daredevil.' And I hope I did, and playing the young Ben Affleck was cool.

Did you copy any of Ben Affleck's mannerisms?
He was really busy so I didn't see him that much. I only saw him a couple of times on the set.

Most of the fighting action takes place when Matt Murdock grows up. Did you have to do much to prepare for the physical side of your role?
I do get a fight scene and I did have a trainer. He helped me with the martial arts stuff and Tom Sullivan helped with the blind [aspect]. He taught me where to put your eyes and how to turn your head.

Do you see yourself becoming an action movie star?
I don't know. That would be cool. That's what I've always wanted to do - action movies and stuff.
