Revolution Studios announced that Mark Ruffalo will star opposite Jennifer Garner in the comedy "13 Going on 30," directed by Gary Winick ("Tadpole"). The film is being produced for Revolution Studios by Susan Arnold, Donna Arkoff Roth and Gina Matthews and will be released by Columbia Pictures in February 2004.
Five days shy of her 13th birthday, all Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) wants is a new life. After a humiliating experience at school, Jenna makes a desperate wish ... that comes true. She's popular, successful and only five days away from her 30th birthday.
Ruffalo will portray the adult incarnation of Garner's childhood friend. He will next be seen in the comedy "A View from the Top" and the psychological thriller "In the Cut." Ruffalo's other credits include "Windtalkers," "The Last Castle" and the acclaimed "You Can Count On Me."
Revolution Studios was formed by Joe Roth in May 2000 to independently produce and finance films in partnership with Sony Pictures, Starz Encore Group and Fox Entertainment Group. In 2003, Revolution Studios will release 10 films, starring such notable talent as Bruce Willis, Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Harrison Ford, Josh Hartnett, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ed Harris, Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, and Julia Stiles.
