On the hit TV show "Scrubs," Sarah Chalke plays Dr. Elliott Reed, a whirlwind of a woman who obsessively worries about how she appears to other people. In person, Chalke is calm, cool and collected - the antithesis of 'Dr. Reed.'

SARAH CHALKE

“Scrubs” moved from Tuesdays to Thursdays this season. Are you happy with that move?
We are so psyched, absolutely.

The show has picked up a lot of viewers since the move. Were you surprised?
We were pretty psyched up to get that timeslot. “Friends” and “Will and Grace” are two of my favorite shows on television so to be sandwiched between the two of them was very exciting. We were definitely nervous because that timeslot comes along with more pressure than Tuesday nights. We've been really excited about that.

I think that we had a really loyal, great audience on Tuesdays and we were hoping that with the move, they would come with us. It looks like they have, so things are good and we are going to keep building.

Are they ever going to give you a real love interest?
Yes, actually they are. I wish I could tell you who but I've only heard rumors. They are working on that right now.

So it won't be someone who is already a regular on the show?
Well, definitely the J.D. storyline will continue. We'll see where it goes with that.

Do you think that's where your character should go? Would you like to see that happen?
Bill Lawrence who created the show basically decided at the beginning of the series that he didn't want to do the typical 'will they or won't they' storyline. So the first season about halfway through he just sort of put us together and then broke us up all within one episode. One of the ideas is to have us do that once a year - to have everything blow up in our faces and not work out. There's different ideas that are going around right now.

Is “Scrubs” a fun show to film?
I'm having the time of my life. I've never looked forward to going to work so much every day. I'm loving it; it's great. It's what I love to do and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.
