While at the World Premiere of the dramatic thriller, "Abandon," actress Michelle Trachtenberg ('Dawn' on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") talked briefly about the status of the Sarah Michelle Gellar series:

All of the characters on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" are growing up. How will this intensify as the season progresses?
I pretty much am hoping for a boyfriend for Dawn sometime this year. I don't know if that will happen or not. Basically Dawn is just going to be more accepted by the group, the Scooby Gang, and helping out more with that.

If Sarah Michelle Gellar leaves, you might be the new Vampire Slayer?
I've heard a whole bunch of different things. All I can say right now is that I love being on the show. I'm surrounded by really wonderful people. Dawn is a really amazing character and whatever direction they decide to go to, I'm all for it.
