ADAM GARCIA (Jason)

Was having Bev and Jason available to use as resources important to you?
You can't ask for much more than a reference sitting opposite you having lunch. You don't have to make any sudden guesses.

How is their relationship today (Bev and Jason)?
I don't know. She lives down in Mexico and he lives in New York, but they're still very close. I think this whole thing must be extraordinary for them. I worked on Jason a lot more, and I remember asking him questions like "Dude, how are you going to feel this being out on film - your life on film?" And he says, "I've had 10 years of it in a book. It doesn't bother me anymore, it's done." They have this real honest communication and understanding and their love just transcends any of the possible conflicts that can come out of it. They still behave like they always have - they really do love each other.

How do you think Hollywood should respond to the current events?
I think it's a fairly interesting question anyway. You ask how should Hollywood respond. There's already been evidence Hollywood is going to have to take a responsibility in terms of just being sensitive, in seeing movies be changed. I think it's going to have to stretch further than that. These last couple of weeks and the ones that are going to follow, have irreversibly changed the course - perhaps - of the planet. And not only should Hollywood take a stand, it's up to everyone to individually be responsible for what they want to happen on this planet.

There are some real emotional moments in the film where love is questioned, and things don't seem fair. Have you personally had those types of feelings?
That was a pretty powerful moment for me in the film, as well. The moment when you have to question your feelings themselves, the very base of your emotional need. Families, particularly, tend to be the ones that you take the most for granted. They seem to slip under the radar, all those important things - it almost becomes second nature to do so. That statement itself does make you look at who do you love, and it becomes not even a question of why do you love them anymore, it's just yeah, you do and love is an inexplicable thing.
