MIKE TOLLIN (Director)
How was your experience directing "Summer Catch?"
I had a great time making this movie. It was really a dream come true because it's not just baseball - there's comedy, and there's romance and there's a really coming-of-age drama. Ultimately for me, the movie is more about the characters and their growth, and their hopes and dreams and how they try to achieve them - and baseball is kind of a backdrop. So, for me, it was the perfect movie because it combined all my favorite elements of filmmaking.

We weren't on the field for the whole movie, but it just sort of felt like a team. Everybody pulled together and, yeah, I got to throw the ball around a little.
What is the story behind the Freddie Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard in thongs?
There was sort of a sense that thongs shouldn't just be for women. I mean, why should that be specific to one gender (laughing)? So, whoever happens to put one on...
