In "Extreme Dating," four twenty-something friends are searching for love and not having much luck. While on a ski trip, they discover a very unusual concept. It seems that 'extreme' circumstances might just be what's needed to hook up with Mr. or Ms. Right.

I caught up with two of the stars of "Extreme Dating" while at the World Premiere of the horror flick, "Freddy vs. Jason." Here's what the two had to say about the movie and their characters:

AMANDA DETMER AND IAN VIRGO

Can you tell me about filming your upcoming movie, "Extreme Dating?"
AMANDA: We met on the movie. The whole big movie was a big extreme date for everyone. There are people getting married from it.

You two really hooked up because of this movie?
AMANDA: We've been together for two years since we made that movie. It's exciting; it's nothing like the TV show thingy. We actually [shot the movie] before that came out. It's about people meeting under extreme circumstances and falling in love because of that - because of getting through it together.

Because of hazardous circumstances?
AMANDA: Yes, life-threatening [circumstances].

Can you describe your character?
AMANDA: The funny thing about my character is that she doesn't realize that the entire movie, she's been set up on an extreme date all on its own. She [sets] up her best friend to hook up other people. Through the befuddlement and things going wrong, she comes to find out that in fact she has been set up by her best friend. It's got a lot of twists in it.

And your character?
IAN: My character basically starts off the whole idea of putting yourself into an extreme situation to find love. My character basically ends up getting together with a beautiful blonde girl on a skiing trip that we all go on as friends. I take her back to meet all my friends and they are all like, "Wow," because I'm like the guy they don't expect to end up with a beautiful girl. All the other guys in the movie are all like your hot Hollywood heartthrob kind of guys.

What do you think you are?
IAN: (Laughing and blushing) I don't play that in the movie.

AMANDA: He plays the dork, and it's his situation that gives everyone the idea.

With the characters having all these adventures, was there a lot of stunt work?
IAN: I did a lot of stunts, skiing stunts.

AMANDA: You get to see him naked (laughing).

IAN: Yeah, you can look forward to that (laughing).

AMANDA: Running through the forest naked, and also giving a car a jump [naked].

IAN: And then I fall into the mud.

Do you ever wear clothes in the movie?
IAN: Every so often. It kind of turned into this running joke about how much I could not have my clothes on. It didn't bother me in the slightest.

Who else is in the cast?
AMANDA: It has Devon Sawa, Andrew Keegan, Jamie-Lynn Siegler. It's a fun cast.

When are we going to see it?
AMANDA: Hopefully very soon. We haven't gotten the final word yet.

It sounds like it's got an interesting storyline.
AMANDA: It's fun. Hopefully around Christmas time because it's sort of a wintry kind of movie.
