Who do you think wins?
I put my bets on Freddy. He's got the claws and he's been around longer than Jason I think, hasn't he? He's got more experience. I'd be curious to find out what the death toll on either of them is, I never thought of that. You never know. Freddy comes into your nightmares so that's kind of weird.
Can you talk about your character?
I play this young sheriff in town. I'm new to the town and I don't know about the history of Freddy. As I go along, I start figuring out things out and decide to help the kids out.
Did you have to do any stunts?
You know, they have me fall down and then someone jumps in. They don't let you do much more than that unless you're... If I was to really be the action lead of a movie, I'm sure they'd let me do more. I grew up very physical and playing sports so I have no problem with it. For the most part, in this type of movie, I kind of do the first part and someone jumps in.
What scares you?
I think the unknown. Movies about the afterlife are weird to me because you just never know. I'm not really too scared. Serial killing and stuff doesn't scare me too much, I don't know why. Movies like "The Seventh Sign" with Demi Moore and what was the other one with Patricia Arquette where she was always getting the slashes? Remember that? Like "The Omen." Remember "The Omen?" That's what scares me.

You take on the role of Jason for the first time. What was that like?
It was a lot of fun. I had a great time doing it. I think the result is something we can all be very proud of.
How did you get cast?
They were auditioning all different kinds of people, including dancers. Ronny Yu wanted someone who knew a lot about movement and stuff like that. I'd done a lot of what I call 'suit' jobs before; I'd played a werewolf, Sasquatch and a robot. I've done a lot of that in the past. I think all that past experience sort of helped me get this.
Can you kick Robert Englund's butt?
Well it's pretty easy. It's not very fair off the ground. I don't have to reach very far, so yeah (laughing) - not that I ever would.
What was the best scene to film?
Well of course there's the big finale fight scene between me and Robert. It's huge; it looks really good.
