Brittany Murphy plays Molly Gunn, nanny to Dakota Fanning's character, in the MGM comedy, “Uptown Girls.” Murphy shares a lot in common with her wildly spirited “Uptown Girls” character. According to the film's director, Boaz Yakin, Brittany Murphy's energy and vitality made her ideal for the part.

Bubbly and enthusiastic, Brittany Murphy is one of the best actors to interview at movie premieres, and I had the pleasure of catching up with her at the Los Angeles Premiere of "Uptown Girls." Here's what Murphy had to say about working with Dakota Fanning, her nanny experience, and dealing with pigs - yes, pigs.

BRITTANY MURPHY ('Molly Gunn')

Are you an uptown or downtown girl?
Downtown girl, all the way baby.

What's your favorite thing to do in Manhattan?
I love that there's a city that exists where you can walk and every single nook and cranny of the street you'll find something new - from museums to music to everything.

You play a nanny in "Uptown Girls." Have you ever had a nanny?
I've had babysitters before and I had family members that watched me. My mom worked a lot when I was younger. I had a wonderful family.

How was working with Dakota Fanning?
Oh my Lord, I absolutely adore Miss Dakota Fanning more than you could possibly understand. She is sunshine, joy and love. She is such an old soul. She's my kindred soul sister.

Did she teach you anything?
She taught me how to knit and pearl (laughing).

What's the dynamics like working with a much younger actor?
I know that WC Fields quote that's so widely famous. The quote doesn't apply to Dakota. She's one of the greatest actors or actresses that I've ever worked with in my entire life. She is 9 years old - so one must expect that. She's great at being 9. She gives me a shot of energy every time I see her, just to look in her eyes.

Do you share any characteristics with this character?
We both love life very much. We both have something that Marley [Shelton], who plays Ingrid, describes as 'artful chaos.'

You get to reunite with one of your "Clueless" co-stars, Donald Faison, in "Uptown Girls."
It was like a high school reunion. He just gets wiser. I'm so proud of that man that it's beyond belief.

I've got to know, what's it like to work with a pig?
They are so highly intelligent. There were two of them Springer and Softie, and they were raised in an apartment in Jersey. They smell great and they were very well mannered. They were good babies. One was for comedy, the other was for drama.

What's next for you?
"Little Black Book." We're going to start filming in a week and a half. I'm in rehearsals.
