The familiar gang from the "American Pie" series returns (or at least a large portion of the original cast is back) for "American Wedding." Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) are tying the knot and in typical "American Pie" style, everything that can be warped and twisted about planning a wedding is taken to the extreme.

Just because there are nuptials involved doesn't mean the movie strays from it's successful formula of mixing gross-out comedy and relatable characters. On the contrary, "American Wedding" features one of the most gag-inducing scenes of the "Pie" series. Keep that in mind when you read the following interviews with the cast of "American Wedding."

JASON BIGGS ('Jim')

What's the appeal of the “American Pie” films?
I think the appeal is twofold: one is my ass and two is the fact that we have a nice balance. We got to places comedically, we got to the raunchy places, but it's grounded in reality. The characters are real and relatable and there's a great balance.

Is there anything you wouldn't do for a laugh?
If I thought it would get a laugh, I would do anything for a laugh. Absolutely. The only time I won't go to a place for a laugh is if I'm convinced that it's not funny. But the fact that it's funny, I will go there. I will absolutely not hold back.

What can audiences expect from “American Wedding?”
It's more of the same in that we respect the formula that works, for sure. But within that formula we come up with new, original set pieces and new funny stuff that I think audiences are going to really like.

You have a hilarious scene involving pubic hair. What was used in place of real hair?
From the looks of it, it came from a small bear. I think it was real something hair. It wasn't pubic or human even, but it was from… I forget. I forget where it came from but it was not my crotch, if that's what you are wondering. It was definitely not from my crotch. I think a well-manicured region is the cure to a long penis as it were, actually.

And speaking of penis, what was used in your restaurant scene?
It was a funnel with a bunch of tape at the top of it. It was long enough to be protruding. Apparently there was talk about doing a shot in 3D for the 3D version that's coming out next year. So they were a little bit concerned.

Has doing the movie changed your opinion of dessert items?
It's given me quite a fondness for desserts. I used to, just like everyone else, think they tasted good. Now I can stay home with them on Saturday night and have nothing but great sex.

SEANN WILLIAM SCOTT ('Stifler')

"American Pie" and its sequels are what they are because of Seann William Scott. His comic timing made 'Stifler' into one of the most consistently funny film characters in decades. Scott will next be seen opposite The Rock in director Peter Berg's frequently renamed action adventure movie, "The Rundown."

You get to kiss grandma in this one.
Well it was better than kissing Jason Biggs. Don't get me wrong, Jason Biggs is a fine kisser. I think he uses a little too much tongue.

How did the scene where you kiss grandma come about?
I didn't really think about it before, it just kind of happened. We were feeling it, feeling the moment, and we just went for it. The best part is what we did afterwards. If you talk about it too much, it kind of ruins the moment so I just went in for the kill. She said to me afterwards, she goes, “My husband's going to be so happy.”

You're in the most disgusting scene of the movie. What was the dog poop made out of?
It was Play-doh, salty nuts, and a little dose of chocolate.
