Since her breakthrough role in Robert Redford's "The Horse Whisperer," Scarlett Johansson has gone on to star in critically acclaimed films including "The Man Who Wasn't There" and the cult fave, "Ghost World."

In "Eight Legged Freaks," Scarlett stars as the daughter of the tough female Sheriff (played by Kari Wuhrer). Scarlett's character Ashley is also the love interest of one of the town's most popular teenagers, Bret (played by Matt Czuchry).

What was it like working with the spidey goo?
It was very gooey. It was cold and wet, kind of muddy and sticky.

Does your character get to do battle with any spiders?
I get stuck to the walls, and I maybe even save the day - but I'm not telling.

Can you describe what it was like to work with David Arquette?
David was really quiet and very soft spoken. He'd go into his trailer and then all of a sudden I'd hear him yelling, "Die you bastards!" I'd go back to his trailer and he'd be playing video games like a maniac. He's crazy with those video games. You'd want to have him for rehearsal and he'd come rushing in late like, "Sorry. I was playing 'Mission Impossible'."

Did you ever play him?
No. I like video games but I was busy getting into character, unlike some people (laughing).

There's a scene in "Eight Legged Freaks" where you make good use of a taser gun. Is there anyone in real life that you'd like to use that taser on?
The NYU Board - they didn't let me in to their film program. I'd would love to zap them.

What was it like working with CGI effects?
It was really scary actually because you'd have like a P.A. holding something in his hand and saying, "Be really scared." That was really scary - a P.A. trying to act (laughing). That was scarier than the effects.

Are you taking a break or staying busy working?
I'm shooting a film in Vancouver. It's nice in Vancouver in the summer, but I've never been to Canada before so I'm dealing with the Canadians and trying to get down and groovy with the Canadian hotspots.
