Jonathan Lipnicki and David Moscow were two of the many celebrity guests on hand to help celebrate the World Premiere of Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl." Here's a brief look at what each of them has in the works:
JONATHAN LIPNICKI ("When Zachary Beaver Came to Town")
What are you working on now?
I just did a film with the director from Like Mike called When Zachary Beaver Came to Town. I'm not sure when it will come out but I can't wait.
What's your character?
I play Toby Wilson - but I don't want to give it away.
Is it a comedy?
It's a kind of drama, kind of comedy. It's a little sad, a little happy.
And I read that it's set in Texas?
Yes, somewhere in Texas. They are not sure if it's called 'Granger' - the town. [It's] some little Texas town.
Since it's from the director of Like Mike, and you're trying not to give too much away, let me guess. Is there any basketball involved in this new film?
No sports.
Alright then. Since you're here at the Magic Kingdom, what's your favorite ride at Disneyland?
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of them. I like Thunder Mountain Railroad and I like the Matterhorn.
DAVID MOSCOW ("Honey")
What's happening with Honey?
It's coming out January 16, 2004.
What's your character?
I'm the bad guy. It's very lovely (laughing).
That's different for you. You're never the bad guy.
I'm never the bad guy, I'm always like the funny friend.
Did you use anything from your own personality for the role?
Of course (laughing).
What did you use?
Say you have a younger brother. How you treat your younger brother is how you treat everybody in this movie, and then you're a bad guy. You know what I'm saying?
I get it.
Basically it was real cool.
Do you do any dancing?
No I don't have any dancing, thank goodness. I'm the music video director. [Jessica Alba's character] works for me.
And what was your experience like working with Jessica Alba?
She's a sweetheart. We were up in Canada and it was the first time I'd ever been there. Everyone kind of bonded together and ran around together. Billie Woodruff's the director and he's a sweetheart. And we had all these hip hop stars. I got to meet Missy Elliott, it was really cool. Ginuwine was really neat.
We know that famous quote from Samuel L. Jackson about rap stars who become actors. What's your opinion?
They're good. Most of the rappers are really good. I haven't seen everybody so I don't know. The ones that I saw were really good at it. It hasn't really affected white actors so much but I feel bad for black actors because they have to start learning how to rap in order to get into the game. So how knows?
