Jamie Kennedy took one of the characters from his old stand-up act and together with Nick Swardson, pounded out a script about a privileged white rapper who thinks he's from a tough 'hood. The 'hood Kennedy's B-Rad character grew up in happens to be the very affluent community of Malibu, and about the scariest thing B-Rad and his posse have to deal with on a daily basis is the line at the nearest trendy coffee shop.
Jamie Kennedy and Nick Swardson joined their fellow "Malibu's Most Wanted" stars for the film's April 10, 2003 Hollywood premiere. Keeping with the spirit of the film, Kennedy helped judge a rap contest prior to his turn on the red carpet. After crowning Boston's 'Diamond Gliss' the eventual winner, Kennedy joined Taye Diggs, Blair Underwood, Kal Penn, Keili Lefkovitz, Damien Wayans, Young Dre and director John Whitesell to discuss making a rap movie and whether or not this film will encourage would-be rappers.
