RONNIE MARMO (Moof in "Deuces Wild")
What's Deuces Wild about?
It's a 1958 gang movie that takes place in Brooklyn the summer the Dodgers left. It's about two gangs who basically fight over territory - the Deuces and the Vipers. Stephen Dorff and Brad Renfro and James Franco - the four of us are in a gang, the Deuces. It's great; it's really like West Side Story without the music.
There's no music?
There's no music. Well, I don't know, I hope they didn't write any music into it (laughing).
Would you describe it as a drama or action/adventure?
It's definitely a drama. It's like The Outsiders meets West Side Story. There are two big rumble scenes, a lot of boys in T-shirts - that's good for young girls (laughing). A huge cast - Balthazar Getty, Norman Reedus - just everybody is in it. Frankie Muniz is in it.
Was it a good set to work on?
It was a dream come true. I was the only kid from Brooklyn in the whole movie so it was really nice. They kept saying, Let's ask Ronnie. What does he think? It was really a dream come true. Scorsese produced it. It was amazing. It was really good fun.
