CURTIS ARMSTRONG

Can you tell me a little bit about your character in this film?
I'm the cop. I don't really do that much except gags with food. The main reason that I'm here is that when they were doing the movie, they were making it as an homage to the sorts of movies that I used to do, and they wanted familiar faces. It's a lovely thing that they thought of me; I thought that was nice.

Was it fun working on this film?
It sure seemed to be. I wasn't there for that much of it so I didn't get to see a lot but Ryan is fantastic - I think he's going to be a big star - Tara was great, everybody was. It was a wonderful cast of kids who are young enough to be my children.

You've done so much work. Are you amazed that people still recognize you as “Booger” from “Revenge of the Nerds?”
Sort of amazed, and it doesn't matter. I figure after all this time, even though I've been doing this for a long time, you're lucky if you have one thing that people remember you for, and if that's mine, then that's mine. I'm glad that they remember it.

Do 18 year-olds come up to you and talk about that film?
I've had 6 year-olds do it! I have grown-ups bringing me their children saying that 'Booger' is their favorite character. That's cute, but it's also like (laughing), “Wow, you let your 6 year-old watch that movie?”

Do you have any other projects coming up?
I have a couple of movies later on this year. One is called “My Dinner with Jimi” which is about Jimi Hendrix, and the other is “Irish Eyes,” that is a drama, which is sort of unusual for me.

Any more appearances on “Ed?”
Maybe, that's sort of an open-ended thing so I may go back and do some more of that, I don't know.

Any chance there will be more episodes of “The Chronicle?”
No, they canceled it. That's too bad because I loved it. It was a great job and I loved that character. We could have had a lot of fun with it and I'm really disappointed that it didn't come back.

PAUL GLEASON (Professor McDoogle)

Can you describe your character?
I'm the college professor who is trying to get Ryan Reynold's character to study hard and get out of college. He's resisting it; he doesn't want to face the responsibilities of civilian life. He wants to stay in college where it's very cushy and he's created a wonderful universe for himself in the college atmosphere. We have a very adversarial relationship but then at the end…I can't tell you what happens.

Are you amazed that people still talk to you about “The Breakfast Club” after all the work you've done?
I'm not amazed but with the young people, that's a cult movie. It was a good part and it's a good movie to have been a part of - just like this one will be. I just have a cameo in this one but there was a lot of chemistry on the set.
