Arlen Escarpeta and Will Estes, two of the young stars of the hit dramatic series, "American Dreams," answered questions about the series and their characters while at the U.S. Premiere of the horror movie, "Dreamcatcher."
ARLEN ESCARPETA AND WILL ESTES ("American Dreams")
Now that you've been on the show for a while, how do you think they are handling the racial issues of that generation?
Will: I think they are handling it really well. I think they are handling it accurately. I think there are a lot of stories to tell about it. I think the coolest part is that it's still a subject that's very live today.
I've asked you this before, but I'll ask again. Is your character ever going to join Meg on American Bandstand?
Who's been your favorite singing guest star, so far?
Will: It's between Wayne Brady and Usher, I guess.
Arlen: Mine was India Arie. You've got to love India Arie.
And who are you looking forward to having on the show?
Will: Are we allowed to say?
Arlen: I think so. I'm not sure if we can say it or not.
Will: You say it (laughing).
Arlen: B2K is coming on as The Temptations.
How soon will that episode air?
The show is a serious drama that has its light moments. What's it like behind the scenes? Any practical jokers on the set?
Will: It's real time intensive so there's not much time for goofing around, but we are really close and we have a good time with each other. It's a great group.
What's the most difficult part of playing a teenager from that time period?
And for you, Will?
