MARGUERITE MOREAU ("Queen of the Damned")
So tell me about your character in Queen of the Damned.
Oh man, she's messed up. She's more at home with the dead than the living. She spends all of her time chasing vampires and begging to be part of that world. She's an intellectual; she's not just a groupie. She studies their activities.
What interested you in this part?
Are you kidding? This is the role of a lifetime! This is the one studio movie where the girl isn't like the girl - you know what I mean? And I love vampire movies. I absolutely love them. I think they are sexy.
Had you read the book prior to filming?
Not prior, but I picked that sucker up right away. Excuse the pun (laughing).
What was it like working opposite Stuart Townsend?
He's brilliant. He's going to create so many memorable roles. He challenged me in every way, every single day.
What's next for you?
We shall see. I've got Firestarter coming out. It's a miniseries on the SciFi channel where I burn things up all the time. This is a sequel (to the Drew Barrymore film). They've written two more chapters about what happened.
JON VOIGHT ("Ali")
What brings you to the Premiere of Crossroads?
I did a little piece of a concert with Britney and we were friendly with the team so I wanted to come out and support this.
What do you think of Britney as an actress?
I haven't seen her work but I'm assuming she's going to be very good. She's very talented in every way.
Are you a Britney fan?
Sure (laughing).
What's next for you?
I have a couple of things coming out in the Spring and Summer. They'll be family films. That's what's next on the list.
MELISSA JOAN HART ("Sabrina, the Teenage Witch")
Are you excited about seeing "Crossroads?"
I loved the script. I got it because I was going to go in and meet about it. When I read it, I was actually really impressed. It's a good script and we'll see how it translates into a movie.
You and Britney have worked together?
Yes we did. When I did Drive Me Crazy, she did a song for it. I was in her video, and she was on Sabrina.
What do you think of Britney as an actor?
I think she's great. I think she's very natural which is half the battle right there. We know she's very talented so it should all come across onscreen.
What's next for you?
We've got a DVD out from the special Shirley Temple movie we did for ABC. It's got my executive producer commentary, which I think is pretty cool. This was just my dream job. I always wanted to make Shirley Temple's movie and I finally got to do it. She wouldn't let anyone else do it but she let us do it. We shot it in Australia and my sister was one of the executives on it and my mom and I executive produced it. It's just my dream project.
