Sundance Festival Makes a Splash on the Web
Visit the Sundance Film Festival, without the crowds, snow and expense! The Sundance Film Festival has officially joined the digital age. 2001 marked the first year that the Festival shared its wealth of movies, interviews and other goings-on with the Internet audience.
This step was taken after carefully and cautiously testing the Internet waters. Sundance officials believed the timing was right for it to become a major player on the Internet. Staff was advised to bring a quality product to the Internet, and to make it an interactive effort. Visitors to the official site will be able to view online films and vote for which film will win the "Online Audience Award."
