PAZ DE LA HUERTA (Tracie)
How is this film different from every other teen film?
It's more serious, basically. It's a love story that has to do with a heavy subject. I don't know, I think it's just that they happen to be teenagers but I think it's a pretty adult film.
What attracted you to this role?
I really liked "The Wedding Planner" which our director, Adam Shankman, did, and I loved this script. I thought it was really touching and hit a spot. My part, I make fun of Mandy's character so I'm kind of insensitive in the film.
How was it working with Mandy Moore and Shane West?
It was great. Everybody was really cool. We filmed in North Carolina, right by the beach. I would go swimming every other day.
How do you think that teenaged guys are going to react to this film?
Maybe they'll be inspired by Shane's character who doesn't care what his friends think and they'll go after the "dork" in high school.
