MANDY MOORE (Jamie Sullivan)

Al Thompson joined Mandy Moore on the Red Carpet to comment on her performance:

Al: “She's wonderful. She's amazing. I would see it five times.”

Mandy: “Thank you. You're going to see it five times, too (laughing).”

Al: “I probably will - and I'll try not to cry.”

What's it like walking the red carpet for your first feature film starring role?
This is a great acknowledgment for “A Walk to Remember,” to me. Walking down the red carpet is insane. My family is here, my family from the film is here, it's insane beyond words really.

How much responsibility do you feel, having to carry the lead role?
I knew going in to this experience I was going to be carrying a lot of weight on my shoulders, but I was so passionate about the book and conveying the story and the message to people my age that I wasn't really concerned with that.

Which suits you better - sexy or wholesome?
How I look now is definitely more me. Whether you classify that as vixen or wholesome, I'm just being myself and I'm lucky enough to get to do that.
