SHANE WEST (Landon Carter)

What was it like working with Mandy Moore?
It was great. She's a doll. She's very cool.

What's the difference between making a TV show and doing a movie?
Downtime is pretty extreme. With "Once and Again," it's an hour drama shot on film so it's like doing an extremely long film. There's not too much of a difference except that I shoot from July until March (with "Once and Again"). If I was doing something like a "Frasier" or "Friends" or anything like that, that's a little bit different.

Are you excited about this big movie premiere?
Yes I am (laughing). This is very cool.

What do you think about all the fans coming out to see you here?
It's very cool. It's different, I'm not used to this at all.

They are all screaming your name.
Yeah, that's strange but very much appreciated. “Once and Again” is more of an adult show and I'm surprised that I'd have fans that are 14-years old from that show. It always comes on late and it's more of an adult show.

Have you found a new name for your band yet?
We're just calling ourselves “Average Jo” right now. On the soundtrack we go by our names but we're going to call ourselves “Average Jo” until everything gets done. The band's great; we're playing this Saturday at the Roxy.
