In "Just Married," David Moscow ("Big," "Newsies," "Riding in Cars with Boys") plays Kyle, Ashton Kutcher's best friend and best man. Kyle's not your typical best man; he spends the minutes leading up to the wedding trying to convince the groom not to go through with it.

DAVID MOSCOW ('Kyle')

What's the best part of working on a romantic comedy?
It's relaxed. You are in your trailer, they call you out, you crash your car through a gate, and then you go back to your trailer and wait until you have to slip and fall. This was the second movie in a row I've done with Brittany [Murphy]. I did “Riding in Cars With Boys” and then I did this, I met Ashton a month after he'd done the first “'70s Show,” so it's really cool to come back and work with these guys. Shawn [Levy] was just a blast. He's real easy-going.

Is it tougher to focus on acting when you're doing physical comedy?
Were we supposed to focus on this movie? You were allowed to do whatever you wanted to do. As much fun as you wanted to have - Shawn lets you.

Was there much improv?
Yes but it might not have made it into the movie.

You were Ashton Kutcher's character's 'wing-man' in the movie. Do you feel like you were his wing-man with his real romance on the set?
No, because most of it was done in Europe and I wasn't there. I was there in spirit. They mentioned my name a few times. But if I had been, I would have helped him out.

Do you think there will be a lot of out-takes/deleted scenes on the DVD?
I would imagine so. There was a scene where I had to pretend to miss a football and crash on the sand and get hurt. I did that 3 times, it was horrible. I really injured my leg. It was black and blue the next day, I could hardly walk. I hurt my back in a scene that got completely cut out. I had to push Ashton over a fence. I had to go to a chiropractor after that. That was the only thing that was bad (laughing).

You play the best man who is not really supportive of Ashton's choice in women. Have you had any personal experiences similar to your character's?
Yes but not necessarily as a best man, but as a best friend whose friend is in a relationship that you don't necessarily support. You know, when they've picked a completely wrong girl for themselves and you know it and you try to ease them into the knowledge as well. That's sort of like what my character does. But in this movie, I think they are meant for each other and I don't want them to be together just because of my own selfish reasons - I'm going to lose my best friend.

What would you personally do in the case where it was the wrong person for your friend?
What do you do? You tell them straight out constantly until it drives him out of his mind. “Dude, this isn't working. She's horrible. What are you doing? Come on, stop!”

And you have “Honey” coming up next with Jessica Alba. Can you tell me a little about your character in that movie?
I'm the bad guy, basically. Jessica plays a dancer who I find in a club. I'm like a top music video director and I find her in a club. I raise her up and she becomes one of my premiere dancers and then my choreographer. Then she won't sleep with me so I destroy her career. She meets up with Mekhi Phifer and tries to make herself up again. That was a blast. Being the bad guy is the best thing (laughing).

You've had so many 'good guy' roles. Was it really fun to be the bad guy?
Yeah, because ever since I was kid I've played a nice guy or the best friend who is real cool. Basically the kid next door. In the last three years or so, I've started playing drug addicts and bad guys (laughing). It's just really, really fun. I think they are trying to tell me something. My mom is like, “What is going on?”

What's after “Honey?”
"BXED" a film with lots of big hair. It's about the Jersey shore in 1983. I play Eddie who is one of five friends. "BXED" is about the Bronx and drug dealers framed by crooked cops. I'm the shady lawyer who comes trying to fight fire with fire. I have to be crooked too in order to save this drug dealer.

We actually are just starting that now. I'm a producer on it so it's a little bit more complex. It's the first time I'm doing it. I'm producing this and an off-Broadway musical called “Into the Heights.”

Do you hope to get more into producing?
I don't know. It's more like… I've been involved in independent films for a while now, about 10 years. I've done a bunch of indies. It's sort of like you become friends with all these people who that's what they do and so then they ask you, “Do you want to be involved in another level?” I said, “Sure, why not? I'll try it.” It sort of snowballs from there.
