Currently in pre-production for a Fall 2004 start, "Prime" is an emotional love story set in New York about a 37-year-old career woman from the Upper East Side and what happens when a 23-year-old painter from Brooklyn falls in love with her. It is a story that looks at love from everyone's point of view and all of those who are affected when families and friends -- and in this case her therapist -- come apart when two people fall in love.
Sandra Bullock is one of America's best-loved actresses. She first came to prominence in the high-octane thriller, "Speed," in which she starred opposite Keanu Reeves and which was produced by Stratus Film's Mark Gordon. She has since appeared in numerous critically acclaimed and box office hits including "Miss Congeniality," "Murder by Numbers," "Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood" and most recently, the romantic comedy "Two Weeks Notice," opposite Hugh Grant. Upcoming projects include the Untitled Miss Congeniality Sequel and Stratus Films' smart ensemble drama, "Crash."
Two-time Academy Award(R) winner Meryl Streep is considered by many to be one of the greatest living actresses of our time. Her filmography reads like a roll call for some of the seminal films of the era: "The Hours," "Adaptation," "The Bridges of Madison County" and "Sophie's Choice," just to name a few. She is next to be seen in the highly anticipated Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and Jonathan Demme's remake of "The Manchurian Candidate," opposite Denzel Washington.
Ben Younger wrote and directed "Boiler Room," which cast a satirical eye on the morally questionable activities of ambitious Wall Street traders. The film, which starred Giovanni Ribisi and Vin Diesel, won a special Jury Prize at the Deauville Film Festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
Team Todd's Suzanne Todd and Jennifer Todd first collaborated with writer- director Younger when they produced his debut feature "Boiler Room." Their other producing credits include all three Austin Powers films and the highly acclaimed "Memento."
Stratus Films is currently in production on action thriller "Hostage," starring Bruce Willis and directed by Florent Siri; and in pre-production on the thriller "Matador," starring Pierce Brosnan. The company is also in post- production on "Winter Passing," written and directed by playwright Adam Rapp; Focus Features has worldwide rights to the feature and is a production partner with Stratus on the film. "Winter Passing" stars Ed Harris, Zooey Deschanel, Will Ferrell, Amelia Warner and Amy Madigan.
