Written and directed by Rebecca Cook, "Shooting Livien" explores the inner psyche of John Livien, a disillusioned New York musician who deals with a childhood trauma by claiming an alter ego. Sheedy will play Brea, an A&R executive, while Draper plays Rose Livien, the mother of the lead character.
Sheedy and Draper join other cast members Jason Behr (TV's "Roswell"), Sarah Wynter (TV's "24"), Dominic Monaghan ("Lord of the Rings" trilogy) and Joshua Leonard ("The Blair Witch Project") on location in New York City for a 20 day shoot.
The creative team behind "Livien" includes writer/director Rebecca Cook ("The Chester Story"), noted independent producers Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins (Sundance hit "XX/XY," current release "Anything But Love"), Director of Photography Harlan Bosmajian ("Lovely and Amazing"), Music Supervisor Adam Rabinovitz, and Original Musician Fionn OLochlainn.
"Shooting Livien" is produced through Cook's company, Velveteen films, Inc., in association with Intrinsic Value. Livien is currently shooting in Manhattan and is scheduled to wrap December 8, 2003.
