Burt Reynolds and Raquel Welch Reunite for "Forget About It"

By , About.com Guide

April 1, 2004 - Burt Reynolds is teaming up again with Raquel Welch for the comedy film, "Forget About It," written by Julia Davis. Reynolds and Welch last worked together 30 years ago on the 1972 comedy, "Fuzz."

In a statement issued by Beverly Hills Film Studios Reynolds was quoted as saying, "This is my third picture with Raquel, we last worked together in the seventies. Her character is an ex-Vegas showgirl, who probably knew a few wise guys. I think it's a fun character for her as she's the vamp of the camp."

Welch added, "It was really just terrific to see Burt again, he looks great and is still as charming as ever, a wonderful guy."

"Forget About It" will be shot in Mesa, Arizona and Hoboken, New Jersey. Beverly Hills Film Studio's John D Schofield, Beau Davis, Kimberley Kates and Anthony Falco are producing the film.

"Forget About It" - Official Synopsis

Living a colorful life on an Arizona mobile home park, Reynolds plays Sam, a Vietnam veteran who along with his buddies Carl (Robert Loggia) and Eddie (Charles Durning) gets caught up in mafia mayhem when an East Coast Wise-guy (Michael Paloma) ends up in the Witness Protection Program on their mobile home park.

Joined by a sultry, sexy, ex-Las Vegas showgirl Chrissy (Raquel Welch) - who routinely works them all for their retirement plan - "Forget About It" is a tale of money, mafia and mischief.
