"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" Movie Synopsis: Set in 1930s New York City, reporter Polly Perkins investigates the disappearances of famous scientists. While working on the story, NYC is under attack by robots and alien-looking space craft. It's up to her old beau, Captain Sullivan, to do away with the bad guys and save the world.
