Guide Review - "Spider-Man" DVD Review

The story begins with normal, average Peter Parker working as a photographer at the Daily Bugle, lusting after his beautiful neighbor, Mary Jane Watson, and hanging out with his good buddy, Harry Osborn. Then everything changes during a school field trip where he is bitten by a genetically altered spider. Peter soon discovers he has very unusual powers - powers he must use for good.

Tobey Maguire wasn't the first name to come to mind when fans discussed which young actor should play the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. But once on screen, Maguire became the every-day superhero in a way that both surprised and pleased most fans. Supported by a cast including Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and Willem Dafoe, Maguire owns the character.
