"Ned Kelly" Synopsis: In the latter part of the 19th century, Australia is still largely untamed. The former penal colony's first-generation Irish immigrant population lives in poverty. Having already experienced police brutality and the death of his father, bushranger Ned is wrongfully imprisoned on the charge of stealing a horse. Emerging a few years later, Ned is hardened but vows to stay straight. But the British system is prejudiced against Kelly, and Kelly is forced to become a criminal.
Review:
Heartthrobs Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom team up with Naomi Watts for this period piece set in Australia. The trailer's fine, yet it doesn't really inspire much of a reaction. In other words, despite the nice-looking cast, the trailer failed to pull me in.
